I recently tried the Shots Toys Introductory Purple Bondage Kit 1, and I thought I’d share my thoughts on it. As someone who is relatively new to bondage, I was curious about a beginner-friendly kit, and this one seemed to be a good starting point.

The first thing that stood out to me was the color — purple is not what I typically expect from a bondage kit, but it’s a nice change from the usual black. The materials feel decent for a beginner's kit. The restraints, which are velvety soft on the inside, were comfortable to wear and adjustable, so I didn’t feel like I was restricted too tightly. I did appreciate that it didn’t leave any marks or discomfort after wearing it for a while. The ankle and wrist cuffs have a simple buckle design, which was easy to adjust, but I found the straps could have been a bit longer, especially for larger wrists.

The kit comes with a blindfold, which was actually quite effective. It blocked out light well and felt soft against my skin. I was able to get into the headspace without feeling too much discomfort, which is a win.

However, I wasn't overly impressed with the restraints themselves when it came to sturdiness. For someone who is looking for something more intense, I think this kit might not hold up. I felt like the cuffs could break with more aggressive movement, so it's definitely more suited for light to moderate play rather than anything too heavy-duty.

The kit also comes with a small flogger, and while it’s not the highest quality, it got the job done for a light introduction. It definitely didn’t deliver the type of impact I was hoping for, but that’s to be expected with a beginner’s kit.
